Job Description

Chippewa County is accepting applications for a Paving and Crushing Superintendent position within the Highway Department. The job duties of the Paving and Crushing Superintendent include but are not limited to provide direct supervision of personnel performing hot mix asphalt, crushing, chip sealing, shouldering, reclamation and general maintenance tasks for the Chippewa County Highway Department and to meet DOT specifications at the lowest cost while adhering to State, Local and Federal regulations.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with three (3) to five (5) years of recent experience and registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin OR Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field with three (3) to five (5) years recent high construction experience and Wisconsin Asphalt I, II & III and Aggregate I & II certifications OR ten (10) years of recent verifiable management experience of crushing and hot mix plant operation and paving crews activities. Starting Salary Range: $63,391 – $68,465 annually depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Salary: $85,587.
